New York Comic Con 2026 is a wrap! My EVENT HORIZON: STORIES OF NO TURNING BACK had an eventful presentation in a conversation around Latines in Comics at the panel Super! Latines Making Comics! I talked around the question: What is Latinxfuturism, and how do you represent it in your collection, Event Horizon? I walked through what makes the concept of “authenticity” fluid when talking about the Nuyorican experience AND in writing a book that bends genre and medium, using “Orteez Funeral Home” with art by Aaron Guzman and Anton Oxenuk also as an example of exercising Latinxfuturist themes.
