Book Shopping by the Juicy Details

I’m the kind of book shopper that finds her books by walking into a bookstore mostly and seeing beautiful covers and titles, and I take it from there. Also of course book reviews I read, or something that I walk into. Authors (I’m told in the business world) make the mistake thinking that most readers find their next best read this way (and scold us into writing good meta data).

Enter small book recommendation sites that are personalized in some level, whether recommending only books with the best industry reviews or sites like the Book Rex which helps readers find their next read by being HIGHLY specific for certain ingredients in what makes the book tick.

I’m not affiliated with the site etc, but I do like sharing new ways folks discover books. Do you guyz find your books this way (highly specific to what makes you tick beyond genre)? Or are you random, whimsical but sometimes targeted like me?
