17th Annual Puerto Rican Artisan Fair & Book Expo

Happy to share that I’ll be returning to the 17th National Puerto Rican Artisan & Book Expo this year at Hostos Community College, co sponsored by PRIDA and Comité Noviembre. Saturday November 19th from 12pm-6pm. 500 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY. Main Gymnasium, Hostos Café. Proof of vaccination or covid test, and masks required.

Come see me and friends. I’ll have some new publications this year like The Funeral Singer, the limited edition artists’ book that comes packaged with a handmade silk book sleeve, enrichment-list bookmark and scent. I’ll have new zines like Zine100, the zine that teaches you how to take money from people without losing yourself (great for community groups), and a new line of “My Love Affair with the Mandarin”, the zine that teases in words as well as the lace and fishnet required for you to remove, in order to enjoy it.

Stuff like that. And some staples like 5X award nominated Speculative Fiction for Dreamers (“Jean” winner of the 2022 Chautauqua Janus Prize”), COVID Chronicles ( a Washington Post Best Graphic Novel of 2021), the zine Maria (glowing review in Broken Pencil Magazine Summer 2022), How to Talk to Welli About Goya (Broken Pencil 2021 Best Zine finalist) and the limited paperback edition of Insider Art. Come say hello.

Note:
If you know you’d like to buy The Funeral Singer, consider preordering it for a pick up (use code NYCC22 at checkout) so I can give it proper care in getting it ready for you. I assemble, anoint with scent and pack them while playing a funeral song. Or, just see you in person for a purchase.
