It started after an evening of an unforgettable CE5 session. I was peering into the Cretan sea at a restaurant having lunch when I got a nudge from the Speculative Detective Agency. I was supposed to have my phone off. Join us, the message said. Join you in speculative sleuthing? I responded. That’s not my thing. Then I remembered my life.
September is turning out to be a really strong, concentrated shot of a double literary espresso for me.
Surprise! I have a story coming out in a prose anthology published by Diversion Books in 2026 speared by editors Matt Goodwin and Richie Narvaez. This time I’m channeling my Lieutenant Colombo in a detective story that is grounded in the heart, but out of this world.

A Dear John note leads a jolted boyfriend and ex-lover on the trail of stargazers, a holy icon and remote viewers—a trail that leads to a silver woman—with the aid of a speculative detective agency.
Will share more when live. But can I say its probably the most enjoyable thing I’ve written? It very much pairs with themes of To Love Like Venus, and settings of my favorite places to exist in: NYC and Greece.
