As I’m gearing up for another big project, it’s also about looking back to see just how publication busy 2025 has been (EH technically was released Dec 15 2024, but hardcovers arrived in 2025).

I love all these projects. They each represent community in various mediums: prose, comics, canvas work. From self publishing, to University presses, to indie publishers, to zinester.

All these books are rooted in the mosaic of Latino a/x/e existence, with a Nuyorican lens if you look close enough at some of my own works. Event Horizon welcomes you also into Greece, when it’s not in outer space.

It’s a time also to remind myself: what spaces am I invited to publish in? It’s almost always Latino, with editors sacrificing in their own ways to publish our works and give us our space, in the same way I do behind the scenes. In the same manner my own Grandma invited everyone to her table (love you Grandma). I am especially grateful for the academic Chicano a/x/e community that is publishing our voices collectively.
